Cansancio gatuno -CANCELADO hasta el 2020-
Hace 3 años.
Con motivo de los 200 años del nacimiento y 160 de la muerte (y verdadero nacimiento como leyenda) de Edgar Allan Poe el pasado 7 de octubre, deseo poner aqui una poesia de el que es impresionantemente acorde a este hecho.
Su muerte se encontrará por siempre rodeada de misterio (se han manejado teorías que van desde el suicidio, el asesinato, cólera, rabia, sífilis, diabetes, varios tipos de deficiencias enzimáticas, apoplejía, delirium tremens, cardiopatías, epilepsia, meningitis e incluso haber sido cooptado por agentes electorales que lo indujeron a beber para hacerlo votar y luego, ya en estado de embriaguez, lo abandonaron a su suerte) ya que desde que fue encontrado vagando muy angustiado y delirante por las calles de Baltimore (con ropa que no era suya y de la que nunca pudo explicar el origen, ni el porque se encontraba en ese estado) para acabar muerto en el hospital 3 días después, exclamando como últimas palabras: «Lord, help my poor soul» («Señor, ayuda a mi pobre alma»).
Por supuesto, Spirits of the Dead, en ingles para poder apreciar toda su magnitud:
Spirits of the Dead
